Synopsis

At first glance, the Friedmans
are a perfectly normal family. Arnold Friedman is a respected teacher, and his wife, Elaine, raises their three sons in Great Neck, a small, upscale community on Long Island. On Thanksgiving Day 1987, the family is gathered for dinner when the police storm the house and search it from top to bottom. Arnold and Jesse, his 18-year-old son, are taken away in front of the family and the press already present at the scene. As the police continue their investigation, more than 1,000 charges are brought against them, the local community becomes heated, and the family falls apart...
