Synopsis
Early 1960s...
Nachman Ruzumni lives on the fringes of an ultra-Orthodox Israeli community. He works there as a "driver": he coaches people without resources to tell the story that will enable them to obtain charity from the wealthy people in the neighborhood. Thanks to this service, he recovers a share of the money collected and supports his family.
But when his wife suddenly leaves him, Ruzumni must take responsibility and care for his 9-year-old daughter.
He takes her along on his nighttime excursions, exposing her to his world for the first time.
The dark alleys of Bnei Barak will be the setting for a tender reunion.
