Synopsis
François is a young French teacher working with a challenging class of 8th graders at a difficult middle school. He does not hesitate to engage Esméralda,
Souleymane, Khoumba, and the others in stimulating verbal jousts, as if language itself were the real issue at stake.
But learning about democracy can sometimes involve real risks.
