Synopsis

The story of Tiresias belongs to Greek mythology. During his life, Tiresias was both a man and a woman. Blinded by the wrath of a goddess, the gods granted him superior vision. The story takes place in the present day. Tiresias, a beautiful Brazilian transsexual, lives clandestinely with his brother on the outskirts of Paris. Terranova, an aesthete with a poetic mind, likens her to the perfect rose and imprisons her so that she can be his. Deprived of her hormones, Tiresia gradually transforms before his eyes. Powerless in the face of what his rose has become, Terranova blinds her and throws her out on the edge of a neighboring suburb. Tiresia is then taken in, in poor condition, half-man, half-woman, by Anna, a simple and wild young girl who will take care of him. During his convalescence, Tiresia develops the gift of prophecy. But the presence of an oracle disturbs the Church, and the parish priest has no choice but to confront Tiresia.
