Synopsis

Frank, 22, a student at a prestigious business school in Paris, returns to his parents' home for an internship at the factory where his father has worked for thirty years. After years of independence, Frank reconnects with his family, much to his father's delight.
At the factory, Frank is assigned to the Human Resources department. Armed with everything he has learned at school, he believes for a time that he is capable of shaking up the conservatism of the management, which is struggling to complete negotiations on the reduction of working hours. He throws himself into the task with great enthusiasm, until the day he discovers that his work is being used as a smokescreen for a restructuring plan that will result in the dismissal of twelve people, including his father.
Frank breaks with management and passes on his information to the unions, who then call a strike. He wants his father to get involved in the fight, but his father, who has invested all his pride in his son's social success, refuses to join the movement. The violent confrontation that ensues clarifies their relationship while bringing each of them back to their own history.
