When night is falling

Camille teaches mythology at a religious college. She is dating Martin, a theologian at the same institution. Their cohabitation does not sit well with the school's principal, who advises them to get married as soon as possible. But Camille does not feel ready. The sudden death of her dog plunges her into total despair and reveals her loneliness. That day, at the local laundromat, a young, pretty woman comes to comfort her. It is Petra, an acrobat in a traveling circus. Forgetting caution and reason, Camille follows her and gradually discovers her true personality.
